Macadamia nuts are considered by many to be the finest nuts available. Not only can they be eaten raw but they can also be roasted and salted, giving them a slightly different but equally delicious flavour. The nuts (either raw or roasted) can be crushed into chips and used a food ingredient in products such as biscuits and ice cream, as well as savoury foods such as soups and meat dishes. Chocolate coated macadamia nuts are a novel treat, and considered as a delicacy in many parts of the world. Australian grown and processed macadamia nuts are known world-wide for their high quality, delicate flavour and crisp texture.
