Gluten Free Turkey Patties

Delicious for a quick lunch or dinner, these healthy turkey patties are gluten free, dairy free and paleo. Turkey is a great source of protein which will keep you feeling fuller for longer. Great for work and lunchboxes. These patties can be cooked in a fry-pan or oven. I love to cook them in a fry-pan because they get more browned and tasty.

Serves: Makes approximately 8-9 patties.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams turkey mince
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • ½ bunch spring onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbs garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Method:

  1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined.
  2. Roll into balls and flatten to make patties.
  3. Heat a lug of olive oil over medium-high heat in a frypan. (Or if preferred, cook in the oven on a baking tray). When oil is hot, add patties.
  4. When browned on one side, turn the patties over. Brown on the other side and cook until well done. Reduce heat if necessary to prevent burning.

Serve with steamed or roasted veggies. Enjoy!
